Hello,

Formatting on word is simple yet there can so be many alterations and mistakes that are globally recognised as ugly or unprofessional.

Any tips or ideas for good formatting for report writing? Any cheats (really mean automation and other functions, lol)

Microsoft Word supports custom templates which will enable you to produce reports with identical layout characteristics.

In a word document, every line should be associated with a 'style'
This is very impotant in allowing word to be used for other features such as TOC (Table of Contents), Table of Figures and Index, which can then be updated automatically as the document develops
